Kolob Canyons

We visited Kolob Canyons (in Zion National Park) on Wednesday. The photo below shows the canyon formed by the south fork of Taylor’s Creek.

Zion, Day 2

I was hoping to hike up to Angel’s Landing, but it was closed for the morning. I hiked up to the Observation Point instead. The hike is eight miles long with over 2,000 feet of total ascent. I explored a short portion of one of the intersecting trails too.

Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument

On our way up to Zion National Park, we stopped by the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to hike up to the crater, but we hiked some of the trails below the volcano.
