I hiked a little over seven miles on Tuesday night.

so pretty! you know it is warming up when the purple flowers are opening. Glad you are getting out and hiking.

I haven’t been to the tops of all of the peaks in the McDowells. I’ve been to the two highest peaks though (East End, Thompson Peak).

Where was you hike? Aren’t we lucky that the hedgehog(MARMALARIA) like to bloom so close to the trails! On Dixie Mine Trail today. Still some beautiful lupine & owl clover & hedgehog flowers but very few poppies! Take care love the pictures

For this particular hike, I started from my house and headed north through State Trust Land.

Thanks for the beautiful pics! Hiked the Dixie Mine Trail today. Still beautiful lupine, owl clover & hedge hog(marmallia). Nice they bloom so close to the trail. No rattlesnakes thank GOD! George & Jill V
