This was my first time seeing the Falls from the Canadian side. I had been there at least twice during the time that I lived in upstate New York, one of which was in the winter. As I recall, the Falls were still falling, but the entire area was covered in a layer of ice. Mist from the Falls creates an area of localized precipitation near the Falls.
