I liked all the photos…….except maybe the ants….just not crazy about ants….LOL. Great light with the tree skeleton, wonderful wildlife photos that are so hard to capture and particularly liked the color of the barrel cactus.
Looked like a very productive hike!
Kevin, your pictures are incredible and these are especially photogenic. I feel like I am right there hiking among your photo shots. I look forward to your weekly photo’s and commentary. Despite this being my first time responding I am forever impressed and thankful to end each week with your wonderful depiction of our beautiful deserts!

Knowing that I might be hiking alone on Friday, I brought a better camera along and took more time on my shots than I normally do when hiking with a group.
I think I spent 20-30 minutes photographing the ravens. While this might be a relatively small amount of time for a true wildlife photographer, it’s significantly more time than I normally spend on my normal hiking photos.
All were wonderful–capturing the “light” and the “motion”. The raven “boys” have been a fav of mine and u caught them in great escapades. I agree w/Linda–however, better I see them via ur camera than under my foot:) Thanks, again!
Kevin,
You take such interesting pictures while on your hikes. I especially enjoyed this week’s pics. You seem to capture the beauty of nature in very unique ways. Thanks for sharing!

Kevin,
So sorry I missed this hike…silly job, always getting in the way of my fun!!
But I THOROUGHLY enjoyed your amazing pics of the things you saw along your route! You have such talent, and a great eye for capturing the beauty of the desert! Hoping to join you for at least one more hike before my travel assignment is completed and I have to head back to Chicago!! Have a great week!!
