We ended up riding about 14 miles. We started at the Granite Mountain Trailhead. We rode Bootlegger to the Granite Mountain Loop Trail, at which point we turned right. We took the GM Loop Trail to Brandining Iron and turned right onto the Cholla Mountain Loop Trail. We took that to Dry Gulch and then turned right again onto the Corral Trail. The Corral Trail eventually turned into Brown’s Ranch Road. We took that to the Maverick Trail and turned left onto the Watershed Trail. That took us up to the Balanced Rock Trail, which we took back to the Granite Mountain Loop Trail. From there we rode back to Bootlegger and then back to the Trailhead.
Nick didn’t like the trails in the Brown’s Ranch area quite as well – they see quite a lot of horse traffic and weren’t as nice as the trails around Granite Mountain and Cholla Mountain.
