So… I used my cellphone camera on this one, something I rarely do. I had my phone with me and, had I gotten up to get a better camera, she would have undoubtedly moved.
I still did the usual color corrections and enhancements in Photoshop. I also have a favorite Topaz Impression filter that I often place over the image at low opacity. It tends to smooth out some of the harshness in an image. As I recall, I created a “hole” in that layer around Freckles’ head so that part would appear sharper.
The MMM (Modern Man from Mars) action from the Picture Postcard Workflow also did a great job of creating additional color variation in Freckles’ orange fur.
